Blazer Commercial Boat Manufacturing was launched in October
of 1997 by Phil and Calvin Moss. Their boating experience goes
back into the early 50's when Phil, his dad Ira, and granddad
Tom were fishing guides on the Current River. Phil was also a
tour guide using his 24'x36" wooden Jon boats at Big Springs
State Park in Van Buren, Missouri for several years. Calvin,
who is in charge of the actual manufacturing, has been on river
and lake boats since he was a toddler.
The
Blazer aluminum boat designs have evolved from the many years
experience of Tom, Ira, Phil and Calvin, their innovative boat
designs and options are continually being created. Their goal
is to build a quality all-welded aluminum boat that will perform
well for pleasure boaters and fisherman alike, at a competitive
price.
All boats are custom built to the customer/dealers specifications.
Blazer Boats specializes in outboard jet hulls, but also build
propeller driven hulls. We build two different flat bottom boats,
one is a standard flat bottom and the other is their own original
design, the Blazer Sport, which features a long rake. Blazer
also build a boat that has a 5% V Bottom.
Blazer Boats offers several
different sizes of boats, ranging from a 10'x36" boat up
to a 24'x70" boat. Boats that are up to and including 52" bottoms
have the choice of being made with .080 gauge 5052 marine grade
aluminum or .100 gauge aluminum. The ribs in these boats are
placed on 14" centers. Boats that are 56" wide and
up are made with .100 gauge aluminum and the ribs in these boats
are placed on 12" centers.
The standard options on the Blazer Boats are a 40" deck
or bow seat, your choice of 1 or 2 cross-seats, and 16",
20" or 22" treated wood filled transom. We offer other
options such as live wells, dry storage boxes, rear decks. deck
extensions, all aluminum transoms, consoles, and diamond plate
trim. We build different sizes of these options and also custom
build options that are not listed. We also offer a 27" transom,
aluminum or wood. This is a 1 piece transom, not an add on extension.
The boats can be left unpainted or can be painted inside or outside
or completely painted.
